My mom and I started watching Sherlock (we get it on instant Netflix and I heard a lot of people who like Doctor Who like Sherlock so I wanted to see it) and I have to say it's rather interesting. Sherlock's even more eccentric and has even worse social skills than in other versions of Sherlock Holmes. I think Watson's his best friend because he's the only person who can stand him. It's interesting how they start out not even knowing each other when in most versions they've been best friends since time immortal. A true friend knocks sense into you when you act like a moron/get out of hand (this is the case with Donna and The Doctor as well.)
